SnapShots from Hell - Part I

Getting an oportunities to update the blog is what i really enjoyed especially after coming to the hell called as XIMB. And most of you(ppl from ximb) would agree with me, as u know why. After the soporific classes and equally boring and exasperating quizzes, we got the solace in form of 3 days hoilday which turn out be one of the momentous part of my life.

With an Impromptu decision for a trip to Konark and Puri, we (21 of us) were set to stormthe beaches and it really happen as wht we have donde there. Our journey started at 3:00 am in the morning, and headed towards Konark to have a glimpse of the God of light 'SUN' in its early avtaar, But he want us to come back again and he never turned up that day.

There are always some black sheeps in the group, and we too have some, and forcefully making people to have the taste of sea water by throwing them in water, and nobody was spared (exception are always there). This act of us helped to enjoy the liberty of having the rule over the whole beach as ppl started to leave as they do not want to be prey for us, though there were very less people. This beach is called as the 'Chandrabhaga' beach named after the river Chandra bhaga whick looks like a cresent and so its name. The river submerged itself to the Bay of Bengal here. The monstrous Sea was its best with climate playing its part to make it more beautiful. The beach was really steep and we were already given the warning of not to go deep.

Our next destination was the Konark 'SUN Temple' which was build somewhere around 1250 B.C., a true glimpse the engineering masterpiece of india, the temple was made without any cement like substance just stones after stones, more came to know about the temple through the guide which told us about some of the important points of the temple, its history, relevance, the one of the unique sun clock which can measure time according the place where shadow falls on a wheel (there are 24 wheels and whole of the temple is made in the form of the Chariot. Each wheel depicts the life and they people live and act at that time. It's really sad that the temple looks to be in a white dwarf stage, with govt. trying to resurrect it.

Our final destination was at 'PURI - The city of lord Jagannath'. Our breif stay at XIMB Guest house was like a luxuary, never thaught that the service was excellent and made our journey really comfortable. Then we headed towards the temple of the lord, but really felt uneasy to see the situation there, with the Pandas ruling the roost by there monarchy over the god and their greed for money made me in a pensive mood to cogitate over 'how a person who lives in a temple almost for 24 hrs can ne surrounded with such lust?'
I was fortunate enough to atleast have a glance over the god idols(sometimes i think it what they really are?.). The beach at puri was good and lot of space for us to play the volleyball there.

Finally every good things come to end.........we started again to return to the hell as the birds to their nest.
